Now Announcing: Open Call for artists!

Canis Lupus Familiaris.

This October, Allen Street Art is presenting an exhibition celebrating man’s best friend. Dogs are humanity’s first domesticated animal, having become close to people even before the advent of agriculture. Coming from a common ancestor of modern wolves, the first confirmed domesticated pup, known as the Bonn-Oberkassel dog, lived over 14,000 years ago but archaeological remains of suspected domesticated dogs exist as far back as 36,000 years ago.

We are looking for WNY artists who have depicted humanity’s first animal companion. All mediums and styles accepted.

Every artist is invited to submit up to 5 artworks. Hanging artworks accepted into the exhibition must be wired on the back and sculptural works must fit atop a 12″x12″ pedestal.

This Open Call is free to submit to. Anyone located in the WNY region is eligible to enter. All mediums eligible. If artworks, upon delivery, do not match what is represented in this form, they are legible to be rejected from the aforementioned art exhibition. Upon the sale of an artwork, Allen Street Art will take a commission of 30% with 70% of the price going to the artist via check upon artwork pick up.

Juried prizes from Buffalo Barkery, Buffalo Big Print, and more to be announced soon.
